Melissa Coutts is Manager of the project Parenting Children and Teenagers Affected by Bushfire. This project is funded by the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund.
Melissa’s research background is in child safety and wellbeing, program evaluation and community capacity building. She specialises in evaluation for the early childhood sector, including evaluations of large commonwealth funded initiatives and smaller service based evaluations of program efficacy.
Melissa has also worked as Manager of MyTime, a national peer support program for mothers, fathers and other family carers of a child with a disability or chronic medical condition. This program is coordinated nationally by the Centre.
Before joining the Centre, she was Senior Project Officer for the Centre for Community Child Health in the Policy and Service Delivery Unit. This work included program evaluation for the Queen Elizabeth Centre, the City of Casey, Good Beginnings Australia and the Australian Early Development Index: Building Better Communities for Children Project.
Melissa has completed her Master of Public Health at Melbourne University, majoring in program evaluation and public health policy. |
