Derek supports Programs and Projects across PRC in developing evidence-based information for mothers, fathers and carers. Working with researchers, experts and practitioners, he specialises in translating scientific knowledge about parenting into practical, reliable content used to support parents. He also has the reponsibility of Content Manager at PRC for the Raising Children Network - the Australian pareting website.
He brings a wide range of experience from the fields of science communication and promotion. Derek has worked as a science communicator and writer and developed online material for ABC Online, the Bushfire Cooperative Research Centre and a number of E-learning and IT companies in Ireland.
